It is a great way to make a sometimes simple subject interesting and mysterious because only its silhouette is going to appear on the photograph.<\/p>\n<p>While walking around Paris with Alex, we saw these large number of birds in a tree and realized that it was going to be hard to capture the scene with the camera because of the strong backlight and the clear blue sky. But I decided to try anyway and loved the effect generated by the contre-jour. It is as if the photograph turned into a mysterious painting. It reminds me of the Hitchcock movie &#8220;The Birds&#8221;.
